Why a boat model is a must-have for every decorator
The models for decorator-friendly boats are just a few of the items that can be added to a home decorator’s collection.
But a boat design, too, is an indispensable part of any decorating project, said Elizabeth J. Schaller, owner of the Schallers’ Design & Home Design boutique in New Jersey.
Schalers has made custom and vintage boats for clients such as The Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Sussex and The Prince and the Pauper.
“I’ve seen so many people make their own custom boats that it’s become a necessity for many people,” Schallert said.
“But, of course, there’s always the boat designer who just makes their own, but I’ve also seen a lot of people get creative and use their own techniques to add elements that you wouldn’t normally see in a boat.
The water, the sea and the trees make up a lot.
I just like the simplicity of it.”
Design & Home Designer specializes in custom and antique boats and a wide range of other decorative objects, including tableware, chairs, lamps and much more.
Schlittman, who has been selling custom and historic boats for years, said a boat’s appearance and design is one of the main factors that determines its appeal to prospective clients.
“If you have a lot going on, it’s going to be pretty hard to go the traditional route with something,” she said.
“It’s a big part of the appeal of a custom boat.
It’s so different from something that might be sold in a store,” she added.
The beauty of a design, she said, is that it has to be a beautiful piece.
“It has to look beautiful.
I think the way you build it is just one of those things that really has to feel right, she added, “and it’s hard to do if you have the right materials.
But, of the things I’ve seen, it has just been amazing.
The colors and the shapes of the boats are so unique and unique and elegant.
“You’re going to want to recreate that piece as much as possible.” “
When you look at something that’s so original, you can’t help but be inspired to do something similar,” she continued.
“You’re going to want to recreate that piece as much as possible.”
Schallier has been building custom wooden boats since 2005, and she said that her love for custom wooden vessels has grown over the years, adding that she now has more than 300 custom wooden craft and furniture items.
“You have to have the skills, you have to be able to build them, you know, you need the tools, and you need to be an artist, and so, I just really enjoy that,” she concluded.
A boat can be one of many accessories, from a wood-burning stove to a decorative lamp, said Schallerman, who added that she believes that every decorating hobby has something to offer.
“The more you build and create, the more you are going to find that you can use for other things that you may not even think of at first,” she stated.
For those of us that want to make a lasting impression, Schallerd suggested using some of the ideas and techniques used by the people who have made our boats, like the French chef, Jacques Pepin, and the Italian artist, Nicola Casanova.
They both had great ideas about how to incorporate the elements of nature into their designs, and it really works, she noted.
In the meantime, Schaler said, it is important to create something that will be beautiful for the rest of your life.
“A boat is just an essential part of your home, but it’s also the best way to create an authentic living space,” she stressed.
